It’s got “tighter” sound than the other speaker, and as I well know, replacing any speaker with a newer speaker should be paired for balance. Take my advice, and pair the speakers. They will always sound different. Replace both. Always.

Never buy one, but, two… It’s worth the effort. Always, especially when pairing with older speakers. Dec. 2009

Got this to replace the 8″ woofer in my stand alone audio tower at home. I have 8 8 inch woofers in the tower. I added this to replace the punched out speaker that my son did. It functions and does it duties all right. This speaker couldn’t and didn’t sound at all like my polk audio in the cabinet.

I did notice that the woofer does not like high db levels from my amp. It was listed as a professional premium pa woofer at 8 ohms, but sounded like it wasn’t meant to be pushed too far.

I would only buy this to replace a speaker that you can’t find to replace your stock ones. I ended up buying some other 8″ woofers from another vendor. For now I will use this one until I blow it out!

Bent when received, but still working so I used it anyway – hey, it is inside a practice amp, so who cares. Good sound, better and more volume probably if I had put it in a more powerful amp. Great bargain for the price.

Speaker’s is worthless, has no bass and when you start to turned them up, it sound distorted. I already changed them.
