1. I bought the following:

   * Pyramid BNPS102 10-Inch 1000-Watt Dual Bandpass System with Neon Accent Light

   * Pyramid CAP160DBL 1.6-Farad High-Performance Digital Power Capacitor

   * Pyle PLA2210 1800W 2-Channel and 4-Channel Chopper Amplifier

   * RAPTOR GL15 Ground Loop Isolator

   The subwoofers sound great and the neons work. I was surprised that capacitor does not have a remote switch; it just stays on. The amp is great! I have not problems here. The ground loop isolator did not work. I put its own special review in its section! Besides the hiccup, the system works great. I hope this helps.

2. The others are right, LED display WILL NOT shut off, regardless of the claim of auto on/off. Let it stay on for 3 days, will not shut off (even though the cap was discharged). LED will drain batt. Called pyramid after returning first one and second did the same. Guy told me to adjust dial (had to drill a small hole in clear plastic portion, but still no solution. And it’s a call center, not a direct pyramid tech. Don’t buy, you’ll just end up buying one that actually works.

3. That gentleman trying to tell you that this capacitor works just fine really needs to purchase it to try for himself. Originally I thought my batteries just weren’t holding a charge so after going through two batteries over the course of 1 year (cheapo walmart batteries w/free replacement) I decided to get an Optima Red Top which I thought was going to solve my issues… Being that I am in college my vehicle is parked outside in the cold MN winter weather 24 hours a day and I tend to only start it up on the weekends to go to work. Well everything seemed to be great up until about 3 months after installing it when I went out to start my car and the sure enough… the battery was dead yet again! To get to the point though, it finally dawned on me that gee… This capacitor is never turning itself off because there is nothing else that could possibly be pulling juice from the battery! This in turn was causing my car batteries to SLOWLY lose their charges and being that I do not drive very much and when I do, it’s only about 5 miles or so to work, the batteries are never given a chance to charge back up fully!!

   In a nutshell this capacitor is piece of junk! One of the worst products I think I’ve ever purchased! So much for their claim on the “computer powered on/off feature”!

   DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! spend an extra $10 or $15 and go with a different brand because I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

4. I think something needs to be explained to the other reviewers here; i think they are not familiar with how a capacitor works.

   a capacitor is like a huge battery with a short memory span. when you turn your stereo on, it charges up to full voltage; power fills the capacitor every time you start your car. when you turn off your car, it still holds the charge, and will continue to do so until it is drained. this means you will have it appear as if it is still on after you shut the car off. it isn’t retrieving any more power from your battery; rather, it is slowly going to drain as it cannot sustain a charge for a long period of time.

   it is normal operation for it to display “on” long after the car has been shut off. it will not drain your battery this way. again, this is just how capacitors work.

5. The meter doesn’t shut off, it’s constantly on. Went through three of these because they were overcharging or not evening running until Amazon contacted me upon filing for an RA and said they wouldn’t bother selling me another because it’s obviously faulty. Pyramid audio was of absolutely no help when contacted either. Didn’t sound like they knew anything about their own products. I should have spent the money on a good one to go with my gear.
